LA NIÑA / THE GIRL
¿Cómo hacer una película sobre cómo crecer y vivir con un padre cineasta? Trabajando en uno de sus rodajes, me encontré con la excentricidad del director de cine. Me encontré con un padre real, que respondía a los valores de otro mundo, donde las drogas y la ilegalidad aceleran y fragmentan la vida. Impulsada por el deseo de construir una memoria de mi padre, comencé a registrarlo con mi cámara. Me di cuenta que mi primera película hablaría de la muerte de un ídolo y de la búsqueda de mis propias imágenes del mundo.
How to make a film about growing up and living with a filmmaker father? Working in one of his productions, I encountered the eccentricity of the film director. I encountered a real father, one that responded to the values of a different world, where drugs and illegal activity accelerate and fragment life. Driven by the desire to build my father’s memory, I began recording him with my camera. I realized that my first movie would speak of the death of an icon, and of the search for my own images of the world.

Realiza estudios de dirección cinematográfica en la Universidad del Cine de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dirige los cortometrajes Castillo de arena, Polvo de barro (seleccionado en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias 2014) y Silencio antes (seleccionado en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias 2016 y en la Competencia de Cortos Argentinos de Bafici 2016).
She studied film direction at Universidad del Cine, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She directed the shorts Castillo de arena, Polvo de barro (selected at the 2014 Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival) and Silencio antes (selected at 2016 Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival, and in the Argentine Short Film competition at Bafici 2016).
