Since 2014, Raúl Camargo is the Director at the Valdivia International Film Festival.
With an extensive academic career, Raúl has been a teacher in the Film History track at Universidad Mayor, Universidad de Valparaíso, Universidad del Desarrollo, Universidad de las Américas and Instituto Profesional ARCOS, as well as leading Film Appreciation courses at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
He has been a programmer at the Santiago International Documentary Film Festival (FIDOCS), the Talca Film Festival and Cine B Festival. Also, he has been invited as a jury member at over 10 national and international film festivals.
Before coming on as director at FICValdivia, he performed as its Artistic Delegate for 4 years (2010-2014), and as General Programmer for 3 years (2007-2010).
